API TRACKING SUITE TO ELECTRIC LADY LEGACY

Electric Lady Studios is pleased to announce an expansion with the addition of our API Tracking Suite. The newly constructed space features a custom built, vintage API 3288 with original 550As - completely refurbished to like-new condition before install - and, an extensive array of outboard equipment & monitoring speakers.

Unique to our facility, our API tracking suite stylishly features exposed brick walls, light cherry floors, and an abundance of natural light in both control and live rooms.

World famous for its all-discrete audio products, studio and broadcast mixing consoles, as well as their full line of rack mount mic preamps, equalizers and processors - API is legendary to audio recording. More than three decades after its inception, API consoles, equalizers, limiters, and mic pre amplifiers remain voraciously sought after and loved by everyone from home recordists to major engineers and producers.

Refurbished by Primal Gear in Nashville, TN - our custom built, vintage API 3288 features 36 original API 550As, 4 B&B EQs, 2 560B EQs and 1 550 EQ. Equipped with Martin Sound Flying Faders and a Steve Firlott modified stereo bus, our API looks and performs like-new.

TO 2nd FLOOR MIX SUITE

Electric Lady is pleased to have Grammy nominated mixer, engineer and producer John O’Mahony (Metric, Oh Land, Coldplay, Alberta Cross) working full time out of our new 2nd Floor Mix Suite using his AMS-Neve Genesys console. Recent career highlights for John include mixing and contributing additional production to Metric’s Juno award winning album Fantasies which quickly went Platinum in Canada and topped the CMJ Album charts; tracks for Coldplay’s multi-platinum Grammy Award winning Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends; producing and mixing Kashmir’s Trespassers. As part of the mixing team for Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, John was also awarded the 2009 Tec Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement in the category of Record Production / Album.
